As Future Ready Librarians, there are so many ways that we are supporting the remote learning that is taking place right now across the country. There is no better time to think about how the skills, qualifications and qualities of a Future Ready Librarian support schools, students, teachers and families. We are collaborating in new ways; building and leading professional development; curating an enormous amount of digital resources; empowering our students as creators; and so much more. In fact, I can’t think of a time I have led beyond the library like I am right now.
With all of us working within districts and communities where remote learning is taking place, we would like to create some resources that will be helpful for you and for the educators, administrators, families, and of course, students. These resources will be found on the Future Ready Librarian site here.
The first post and resource will focus on the question, How are you supporting remote learning?
We have created a Padlet to share this work. Please add your ideas, program and/or resource to the Padlet that we started here.
And if you’d rather email me, you will find me at [email protected].
Don’t forget to add your name, your location and anything else you’d like to share about you.
Throughout the next several weeks, we will be breaking down this work into multiple posts that will highlight work being done and resources being created in each one of the wedges that makes up the Future Ready Librarian framework.
Thank you for all that you are doing. You are all so inspiring and I look forward to sharing these resources with all of you. I know this will be helpful to all of us.
