Leadership for Mobile Learning: Creating a Shared Vision
Even in today’s world of ubiquitous use of technology, we still continue to see some school districts implementing technology initiatives without giving enough consideration to their own fundamental reasons for moving forward. We have all seen or read about districts that launch 1:1 programs without thinking through why their students require individual access to digital devices. Sometimes districts feel they must keep up with their students who are viewed as digital natives or match a neighboring district’s technology program. Fulfilling a board mandate can also be the driver behind a decision to launch a 1:1 initiative. Without a coherent, shared vision for implementing any technology program, the project is likely to be diluted, lack the desired impact or worse, simply fail miserably.
In this edWebinar you will learn from district leaders just what it takes to successfully deploy, implement and sustain a shared commitment to mobile learning and discover the “why” behind their own leadership in this arena. This session is of special value for school superintendents, K-12 school and district leaders, and aspiring leaders. There will be time for questions at the end of the presentation.
