In support of the Future Ready Initiative, the US Department of Education’s Office of Educational Technology created the “Future Ready Leaders” project; a synthesis of research and best practices. This resource, designed for Superintendents, allows users to take a brief survey and based on identified need, receive a customized playlist of videos that highlight model schools throughout the nation. To support the US Department of Education’s work with this project, the US Department of Education’s videos will soon be available in the Future Ready Dashboard.
Strong leadership is essential to systemic, sustainable change in education. Superintendents throughout the country have expressed the desire for evidence-based approaches they can rely upon to lead this change. The Future Ready Leaders project, created by the US Department of Education, responds to this need by providing a systematic review of research and a personalized playlist for district leaders generated from 50 short, high production quality videos. Collectively, these videos constitute a virtual site visit hosted by some of the most forward leaning Future Ready district leaders in the country sharing lessons learned and effective policies and practices with their peers.
We encourage you to take the Office of Educational Technology’s short survey and, at completion, receive your cutomized playlist from the FRL video library tailored for your district. These videos provide a research-based virtual site visit to districts around the country who have embarked upon the journey to become Future Ready.
These videos are a great addition to the Future Ready tools. All Future Ready tools including the summits and workshops are free of charge – including the Dashboard, a systemic action planning tool built on the Future Ready Framework, and “The Hub,” a one-stop-shop for district leaders’ ongoing professional learning needs.
